“The Ghost In The Shell” teases a new project for 2026

Ghost In The Shell IP has taken some hits instead of making them in recent years. The Netflix animated series. The ScarJo movie. Made me turn into a real Debbie-downer.

However, recent news of a new GITS project is being teased for television. One that has evoked distant memories of the illustrious Stand Alone Complex animated series. Hopefully this is some return to true form.

And judging from the glimpse of this official anime teaser, the hand drawn element is a seemingly integral to the aesthetic, which is promising.

The Ghost in the Shell New Anime i slated to premiere in 2026. with Science Saru studio set to animate. Which, by the way, is the guys at the helm of the Dan Da Dan series.

The anime has its roots in the titular manga franchise The Ghost in the Shell, created by Shirow Masamune.
