“Star Wars: The Acolyte” casts Jodie Turner-Smith in coming Disney Plus series

Star Wars: The Acolyte has recently revealed in new addition to their cast. The forthcoming Disney Plus series looks to employ the talent of actress Jodie Turner-Smith. Smith is known for her role in the horror movieWhite Noise.

Also starring in the series is Amandla Stenberg, star of the recent Bodies Bodies Bodies movie.

The series is set to chronicle the rise of the sinister shadow of the Dark Force in time where the embers of the High Republic are almost extinguished. The plot of the series happens around 100 years before the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace — a time when the Sith are believed “extinct for a millenium.”
