The first Marvel family is coming to the MCU sooner than you think. The Fantastic Four movie has been christened with a release schedule at SDCC. Albeit, the casting of John as Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madnesswas all a result of algorithms and fan-castings which none of you got paid for doing the casting director’s job.
Fantastic Four is slated for cinematic release come November 8, 2024.
Whether actor John Krasinski is set to reprise the role as Mr. Fantastic or if he was just a multi-verse version of Mr. Fantastic is anyone’s guess. But as it stands, the Fantastic Four movie will be kicking of Marvel’s Phase 6.
In any case, we look forward to more details as they become available.
The last we have seen Fantastic Four on the screen was when the film rights were under the 20 Century Fox banner, and whilst the film did not live up to its potential, it was the film franchise most experimental outing.
The comics Fantastic Four features the story of heroes born out of circumstance when a outer space scientific excursion goes FUBAR when cosmic radiation waves transforms and augments the crew, endowing them with individual, unique powers and capabilities. Mr. Fantastic with ultra flexibility and inhuman stretching, Sue Storm, his wife, being able to turn invisible and use of telekenesis. Her brother Johnny Storm having the ability to turn into a combustible ‘Human Torch’, and Benjamin Grimm, the strong man formed of rocks known as The Thing.
More as things develop.
