Comic-Con was a special moment this year for Marvel Studios, which may not have been as illustrious as past SDCC announcements and outings, but nevertheless, the baddy of this Phase may be making his official stand in the coming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. And if you don’t know who we are talking about, it is Kang.
Of course we know the character is portrayed by actor Jonathan Majors. Not to be fully confused with the role he played in the Loki series, as The One Who Remains is ‘doppelgänger’ version from another universe. The real deal Kang, however will be coming in all his tyrannical glory.
Check out the poster art that featured at SDCC:
The director of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – Peyton Reed –also gave fans some insight into the tone for the coming Marvel film. Which, by his words, will be a “hard turn left”:
We were thrilled to get to do a third Ant-Man movie and do a trilogy, and we knew if we were going to do that we wanted to do some things differently. We really wanted to take a hard left turn and make a movie that was even more epic, but still progress the story of these family dynamics and everything that’s going on between Scott and Hope and Cassie.
May have a direct correlation with Kang entering the chat. More as things develop.
