Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt levels up on the stunts and extinction-level events with the newly released trailer for Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One, and it is everything you would come to expect from an MI movie.

Chemical warfare, death-defying jumps and car chases through narrow European streets. And of course, a demagogue-like villain with a warped sense of morality. Hey we can’t let James Bond have all the fun.

But to be fair, modern 007 has ripped Bourne Identity which further ripped Mission: Impossible, so its all a merry-go-round of IP at this point.

In any case, Just knowing how crazy Cruise is when it comes to doing stunts gives M:I the critical edge we’ll pay good money to see in cinema. That and the classic Tom Cruise run. Mostly the run.
