Susan Sarandon cast as villain in upcoming DC movie “Blue Beetle”

DC Comics goes in fully armored with talent for their upcoming Blue Beetle movie as it has been announced the villain for the film has been cast. And to fill the role is Susan Sarandon.

Originally a role destined for veteran actor Sharon Stone, the recasting of the villain for the movie enters more than capable hands. The character to be played by Sarandon is one Victoria Kord. It is to be noted that this character is a new one and not part of the DC canon.

She will star alongside Maridueña, who will play the titular Blue Beetle. The Blue Beetle, alter ego Jaime Reyes, gains his superpowers by finding a suit of alien armor. This will be DC’s first film outing of a Mexican-American superhero.
