DC Comics’ “Batgirl” movie takes the Burnside costume route in first-look image

Leslie Grace takes to the interweb not only to detract from the naysayers who doubt her capability of taking on the role of Barbara Gordon and Batgirl in the coming DC Comics movie, but to give us an update that is more functional as well. The first look at her costume has been revealed.

Most notably this is Batgirl, Year One. Which explains the more minimalist aesthetic likened the Batgirl of Burnside 2014 comic book narrative run. And the costume does look good, but we put it down to the photograph for presenting her in a fashion that looks more like a high-level cosplayer or a CW Network outing than that of a huge budget movie.

Again these first-looks can always be the most deceiving, so it’s always helpful to think of this as a work in perpetual progress.
