HBO Max is bringing a solo “Black Canary” movie in the works

Birds Of Prey seemingly now has born fruit as the bird with the pipes has something coming in the streaming pipeline.

HBO Max is slated to bring to fans a Black Canary. And actor Jurnee Smollett is set to return in the titular role as Dinah Lance aka the Black Canary, a notable (metahuman?) who has the ability to send high pitch sonic waves from her screams.

Lovecraft Country writer and showrunner Misha Green is slated to helm the Black Canary movie project.

Smollett’s version of the DC vixen first appeared in Birds Of Prey, starring alongside Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

And as far as Smollett’s concerned, elated seems about the right summation of emotions. You could almost scream.

The important takeaway is certainly the use of yellow and black heart emojis, which would connote we could get to see here in official costume…
