Netflix announces cast for new Resident Evil movie.

Netflix takes things a step further with their ongoing relationship with the famed CAPCOM franchise Resident Evil with the announcement of the cast set to star in the coming live-action movie.

Most notably, Resident Evil villain Albert Wesker will be played by The Wire-alum and John Wick actor Lance Reddick.

Also set to star is Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez.

This is part of a sle of Resident Evil-inspired content being rolled out on the streaming service. Fans will have much to look forward to including the live-action series Welcome to Raccoon City as well as the animation.

Production on the movie has begun, though the official title has not yet been revealed.
