“Mobile Suit Gundam” is getting the live-action Netflix treatment

When it comes to space warfare, nothing evokes more wonder and fear when you hear someone utter the phrase “Gundam”, then you know tensions are set to escalate to dizzying height and tempo.

The infamous mecha anime/manga franchise is set to make landfall on Netflix with the announcement of a live-action Gundam movie is in the works.

The project will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and will be produced by Legendary:

This makes for another Sunrise anime-turn-Netflix live-action project, with, of course the coming Cowboy Bebop series which recently wrapped primary photography. And it is certainly right up Legendary’s lane, having spearheaded the Pacific Rim and Godzilla franchise.
