After the talks of Electro and the return of the three Spider-Men standing side-by-side in one film, it seems any news coming out of the Sony camp has gone multiverse crazy.
The latest being reports that Doc Ock is also set to make a return to the Spider-Man film franchise. And we are talking about actor Alfred Molina from Sony Pictures Spider-Man 2 that had Toby Macguire as the webhead.
Yep, Molina will be reprising his role as the villainous Doctor Octavius who is surely set to bring his mechanical appendages along for the mischief.
Now, this honestly feels like the musings of two dudes in a comic book store spouting ‘what if’s all about the place, but with three generations of Spider-Man characters sharing one unified stage, one wonders how deep will this inter-blending of universes go? And are we too far removed from getting an actual Spider-Man film that does not hinge on the curtails of needing an excess of characters?
And it looks like all the members who could take the role of the Sinister Six are accounted for… so is this next up?
