Even as the Heroes’ numbers seem to thin amidst the rising despair, the Overwatch stand forever united as a beacon of struggle and triumph. And as such, this beacon is bound to attract similar champions of hope to the light.
Blizzcon 2019 gives us news of the next installment in the franchise with Overwatch 2 delivers a hail mary with their 8+ minute cinematic asking fans to once again stand with them as new characters, modes, and maps are teased.
Namely, Blizzard is promising a new core “Push” mode alongside new maps and heroes (who’ll be added alongside the existing 31 heroes that are already returning). The game will also still heavily feature six-versus-six team combat, much like the gameplay of its predecessor.
Description reads:
Stand together. When Null Sector attacks, Winston assembles a small strike team to fend off the invasion. But as hope begins to fade, the team must stand together to overcome the odds.
