“Jurassic World” gets a new lease on life with Netflix animation series
Life (and franchises) find a way.

Netflix is slated to host an upcoming Jurassic World-themed animated TV series. The animation series is entitled Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and is to be produced by Dreamworks Animation. The guys behind Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Set during the timeline of 2015’s Jurassic World, the new series will follow a group of six teenagers who have been stranded on Isla Nublar after dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island. Marooned and without help, the group will need to evolve from strangers into a family if they are going to survive.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Colin Trevorrow, Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is slated to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2020.
