Sony has made some indelible progress with their proposed Venom film. Tom Hardy has finally got his chance to become part of the comic book filmic tapestry once again being cast as Venom aka Eddie Brock in the 2018 film.

Venom is the first in a slew of Spider-Man related spin-offs been put on by Sony themselves looking to capitalise off of the almost assured success of Spider-Man: Homecoming. These films include an animated Miles morales Spider-Man film, a Black Cat and Silver Sable movie

Ruben Fleischer has been pegged to direct and production is slated to start this fall.
