Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow to be relaunched on Nintendo’s Virtual Console
In a hit of pure pixel-heroine nostalgia, Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow are set to be relaunched on the Virtual Console for systems on Nintendo 3DS.

After Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, which launched in Japan, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue launched in North America in 1998 with slightly updated graphics. In 1999, Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition launched featured Pikachu as a character that followed you when you traversed the game. It also used Pikachu’s distinctive cry from the Pokémon animated series.
In recent news, Pokémon Go! promises to extend the possibilities of the franchise into the real world.
