The Walking Dead cast Jeffrey Dean as Negan

The Walking Dead has cast their biggest baddy yet. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast to play Negan on TWD, which, for comic fans is awesome news. For Rick and everyone else, not so much.

Negan is definitely about to become the epicentre of a lot of blood and violence. In the comics, Negan operates a nice little racket of offering protection in exchange for a whole lot. And not to mention if you don’t comply he’ll introduce you to Lucille. An American classic wooden baseball bat, neatly clothed with a spiral of barbed-wire. So he’s pretty much like the mafia, only worse. And with a team called the Saviours, anyone who falls under their protection or destruction will undoubtedly be screaming “Saviourself”.

And with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s phenomenal role as the Comedian in DC’s Watchmen, his psycho-meter is pretty much already there to handle the nuances of Negan.

The sixth season finale of The Walking Dead is where AMC intends to introduce the villain. That episode will be directed by Greg Nicotero.
