hideo kojima. the action pixel. @theactionpixelEvery time there is news about Konami and it’s operations on some level, it feels like a conspiracy pigs in blanket, with denial bacon wrapped around a secrecy pork sausage.

konami Silent Hills PT. The action pixel @theactionpixelWith the removal of the Silent Hills P.T. and Kojima removed from official Konami branding , the last of Metal Gear Solid V and Hideo Kojima stepping down… well scratch that last statement, as, according to Konami, Hideo Kojima is apparently still listed as a “company employee”.

In fact, he is stated as being “on vacation”.

The issue of Kojima’s ‘apparent’ departure from Konami came up in a New Yorker article which featured an image of what seemed to be a farewell party in Kojima’s honor.

Konami denies such a gathering, hinting it was a celebration of completing the long task of bring MGSV to the world.

Konami went further to say:

Because the development time for console games is so long and fatigue builds up, it’s common for employees to take extended periods of time off when development is finished.

Hence the long “vacation”.

But one cant deny the whispers have been going on way before the completion of MGSV. It’s also od Konami in dealing with rumours released very sketch statements that add more to the rumour mill than dispense them. Someone in PR should really check that out.

Kojima has worked at Konami since 1986, and has been implemental in the companies success and in franchises like MGS.

“So what do you guys think? Is Kojima on a long vacation? Or is he like every boss employee that uses up their paid vaction days and gives the minimum amount of notice period to quit the job? And if true, why is Konami so quiet-hush-hush about it? Hit us in the comment box.”
