Channing Tatum learns card-throwing skills for Gambit
Channing Tatum maybe going all male stripper for Magic Mike XXL, but in an interview with Magic Mike XXL screenwriter Reid Carolin divulged to Screen Rant that Tatum has been working on his card throwing for Gambit. Carolin is also a producer on Gambit.
Gambit, who has the ability to charge any object into an explosive device, usually delivers his explosives via a deck of playing cards
Carolin said:
Last night we were with my friend who I went to college with, this guy David Kwong who is an incredible magician and he was teaching Chan how to throw cards and do slight of hand and all that
Carolin also gave an update on when filming would start:
Yeah, that we’ll shoot that in the fall, we’ll probably start that in late October/November in New Orleans. Rupert Wyatt is our director, he’s pretty cool. I think the script is really good. To be honest, I don’t watch big movies for pleasure a lot, but this script convinced me that we should be making this movie.
Gambit is scheduled to be released on October 8th 2016
