Nintendo resurrects the Nintendo World Championships after a 25-year hiatus

nintendo. the action pixel. @theactionpixelNintendo is returning to the e-ring, with the company announcing they would be bringing back Nintendo World Championships at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. This is after 25 years of absence, which is pretty long a time; the last time Nintendo made an appearance was in 1990.

This is big news as recent events in Nintendo point to a more open, progressive company, like the move to mobile games.

The competition is to be held at Best Buy in the states across the US on May 30th, with the winners meeting on June 16th at the E3 event.

MARIO KART. NINTENDO. THE ACTION PIXEL @THEACTIOPIXELIt’s definitely welcomed. And hopefully they’ll enter more of a niche market promoting more family friendly e-sport events.
