FOX comic book muscle flexing may be pissing of Marvel, but that’s not stopping them from producing and rebooting comic classics.
Case in point, FOX is planning to reboot the Alan Moore comic series The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Sean Connery appeared in the movie based on the comic in 2003, last film he did we think, and it wasn’t that great sadly in comparison to the comic.
But this reboot has John Davis (The Blacklist, Chronicle, I, Robot) attached to it as producer, with Ira Napoliello (Mr. Popper’s Penguins) and Matt Reilly overseeing the production.
The narrative basically focussed around characters that were the stuff of legends in the age of Industrial / Victorian Britain; Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team up to fight a common nemesis.
So hopefully this time around we can get a Victorian Britain that is elegant in a filthy dirty way and chocked full of story and action.
