We admit we are bunch of FPS gun nuts. Now that we got that out in the open. So its comforting to know that the guys over at Tripwire Interactive are that way too and they have been chocking Killing Floor 2 filled with heavy, clunking mechanical mayhem via the gun. Assault rifles, shotguns, concept guns, whatever. Utter carnage.
But revealed in the Killing Floor 2 Developer Diaries, we come to appreciate the lithe mechanical beauty of a gun bucking and kicking with 200 frames per second animation of guns firing, a system implemented by Tripwire for a more immersive level of gameplay. This looks even sexier in “Zed Time”, which is Killing Floors carnage filled version of “Bullet Time”. Considering the average frame rate the game used in previous titles were 30 frames per second, the 200 fps has helped to up Killing Floor‘s carnage factor to dizzying sanguineous heights.
