The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Games series out in Fall

Telltale Games went all in at E3 to give their latest addition to The Walking Dead decisional gaming franchise. Nope, sorry it isn’t season 3. But you pretty much should be stoked anyway because this time around you’ll surely be seeing flashes of dreadlocks and samurai swords.

Yep, the latest in the The Walking Dead: Telltale Mini Series will focus around Michonne, the battle-ready, sword-wielding badass we all love.

The mini series in terms of TWD chronology will take place between issue nos. 129 to 136, unfolding why Michonne got separated from her trusted group and what made her return.

This makes Michonne the second character that stars in the main TV series to feature in the Telltale Games’ mini series after Glenn.

Robert Kirkman felt he had to explain using Michonne for the series. She has dreadlocks, is deadly with a blade and she’s total bad ass… but sure go ahead Kirkman, explain:

[Michonne] herself is a reflection of the world of The Walking Dead. She is brutal and cold on the outside, but deep beneath what is broken, she remains hopeful, trying to claw her way out of the darkness that surrounds her…there is no greater character than Michonne to help bridge that gap…

Following the niche Telltale gameplay, Michonne’s decisions and actions in critical circumstances change the course of the gameplay.

And like season 2 in relation to season 1, players must have at least the first episode of The Walking Dead Season 2 in order to play the Michonne game.

And with Overkill’s The Walking Dead making headway, and the spin-off TV series Fear The Walking Dead coming soon, we surely are super close to getting or 8-ball fix to combat our Walker withdrawal.
