spider-man, ps4, sony , playstation, marvel, the action pixel, peter parker, entertainment on tap, the action pixel, @theactionpixel, e3, e3 2016, e3 trailer, trailer, teaser, insomniac games,Marvel creative director Bill Rosemann revealed more news on the Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man coming to the PS4, stating the the coming game has no direct ties to the Spider-Man: Homecoming or the animated feature.

“It’s standalone; all new story, all new world,” Rosemann said. Which is welcomed. Any time a particular IP tries to sync or orbit its release with that of a upcoming film, time and execution of said game usually becomes compromised to keep up with release dates of the film, with gamers ending up with a rushed game.

Fans can also expect a lot of conflict in the narrative, as Rosemann has been quoted as saying:

…The best stories are when Peter’s world and Spider-Man’s world collide, and we have taken that and just, throughout every day of this development, we have been like are we hitting that?
