Mortal Kombat x. netherrealm studios. Scorpion. the action pixel @theactionpixelNetherrealm Studios has often been used as the scapegoat, and Mortal Kombat as the buzzword the media refers to when talking about violence depicted in video game. And I am talking like since the 90’s. But apparently even Mortal Kombat-creator Ed Boon has his limits:

I think every single game, [there are] those discussions where, you know, everyone’s trying to push the envelope, but there’s always a line that you never want to cross.

But whether you agree with the use of violence in video games or not, it’s hard to see the line Boon is on about when it is saturated with this much sanguine spatter. And if you thought you saw anything really gruesome to this point from Mortal Kombat X, you need to reserve judgement until you see every fatality from MKX characters. And holy shit snacks are you in for a bloodfest. Absolutely brutal!
