Supergirl recruits past donners of the ‘S’ Dean Cain and Helen Slater

Supergirl has brought a true blast from the past × 2 by casting Helen Slater and Dean Cain for the CBS film series.

For those of you that don’t remember Dean Cain played Superman / Clark Kent in the 1995 TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which also aired on ABC. Helen Slater also dawned the ‘S’ in 1984’s Supergirl series.

The roles both Cain and Slater will be playing is unknown at this moment, but lets just hope it’s no more tongue-in-cheek than it presently seems to be.

The TV series also recently cast Homeland‘s David Harewood as Hank Henshaw and Grey’s Anatomy Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.

CBS’ Supergirl series is slated to debut Autumn 2015
