But soon, Disney/ Marvel / Star Wars upped the anti and released variant cover art for the upcoming first issues of the Star Wars series. The comic is set for release come January 2015. And with over 50 variant cover designs, you can pick a comic to match your outfit for the next… 50 days at least!

It has been rumoured already that the first issue is bound to sell 1 million copies. Star Wars #1 will feature a new narrative set in the Star Wars chronological timeline, snug between the events inStar Wars: A New Hope (1977) and the sequel Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980).

DC Comics have done something in the similar vein recently too, with the DC superheroes taking the trek down Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, cover variants re-imagining of famous film posters.

As long as you know where the real galactic battle is being waged. Hope you have your lightsabers ready.
