Flash comes to the cinema in 2018 @ theactionpixel.comPhil Lord broke silence over developments on the DC Comics, coming feature film The Flash.

As we know the feature is set to star Ezra Miller as the speedster, and has a release date set for 2018.

And for Phil Lord and Chris Miller writers of the feature The Flash film, it is all about the story.

Lord explains:

We’re trying to break a story. It’s interesting, because there’s a really popular TV show out there, and we’re trying to carve out space for the movie that’s apart from that. I think we’re doing alright. …I believe [our Flash] is going to be Barry Allen. …We’re more trying to stick with the cinematic universe… I really is its own thing and is kind of a stand-alone movie. We’re just trying to think of the best story. I think you guys will like it, it’s kind of a different take on superhero stuff. I’m optimistic!

As it turns out Lord’sa busy guy, as he is also currently working on the animated feature for Sony about a certain Web-Crawler.

The key thing for the Flash obviously would be to distance and shed a new perspective on the Scarlet Speedster that will set itself apart from the TV series, which is pretty still fresh in people’s minds right now.

Miller will first appear as Allen in Justice League Part One and possibly (or maybe this is just fanboy-hope) make a debut in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
