Marvel announces new “The Defenders” comic series

Marvel may have a mega-mini team up on Netflix happening in the near future with the Defenders, which seeks to bring its present roster of bad-assery together in an amalgamation of great ass-kicking vets, but it looks like some of that fable narrative gold will find its way back to the comic.

Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist stand together as THE DEFENDERS in a new comic series coming.

And judging from the cover art, we can safely assume the likeness of characters to the real-life portrayers in their respective Netflix series mean this will have some tie-in. The series will feature comic talents Brian Michael Bendis, Justin Ponsor and David Marquez.
