Exclusive picture of Jared Leto as Joker for Suicide Squad
After countless short videos and his green dye job teasing his role as the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad, we thought we a bit of an insight of what to expect in the look department. But apparently we were wrong. Drastically so.
David Ayer, Suicide Squad‘s director took to Twitter and decided to show off a picture of Jared leto as the Joker. And here he is:
Like Marilyn Manson had a baby with Home Alone on top of a bed of used syringes. Ayer’s Joker plays into the British punk persona, which is fair as Britons do make up the most anarchistic comic book character. Tatts, bright green hair and crazed. Way off from Nolan’s calm chaos embodiment of the villain. We think however they could have thought of better tattoos than ‘HA, HA, HA’.
David Ayer is directing Suicide Squad which is set to star Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jared Leto as The Joker.
Jesse Eisenberg is also expected to reprise his upcoming role as Lex Luthor, while Scott Eastwood is set to appear in a small role that is rumoured to be Wonder Woman’s love interest.
Suicide Squad will land in cinemas August 5th 2016
