Deadpool is rated a ‘hard R’
Keeping up with Ryan Reynold‘s promise, 20th Century Fox’s take on Marvel’s Mouthy Merc is rated R. Hardcore R. The R you only only hear come from the scurvy mouths of pirates and the British.
Well if the test footage didn’t hold the slightest glimmer of expectation of adult situations, well rest assured Deadpool has a hard R rating despite Slater’s efforts. That should ring your happy bell.
Simon Kinberg, producer of Deadpool and X-Men: Days of Future Past says fan can expect classic Deadpool come release date:
Deadpool is a hard R. It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.
Director Tim Miller too revelled in the fact that Deadpool takes place:
in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.
Quite a change seeing comic films try to aim middle-ground to get as many young semi-independent target audience members through the door.
Definitely should be jam-packed with the kind of humour any normal person after laughing out loud will question their humanity.
Deadpool synopsis reads:
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
The film will be directed by Tim Miller, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano. Plus we can expect to see X-Men’s Colossus making an appearance too.
Deadpool is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 12th2016
