It appears the marriage between producer / actor Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller that brought us Deadpool is dashed right in front of us. Deadpool 2 will no longer have the team dynamism of the first, and this is because Tim Miller has exited the project.
Creative differences, as always, is the key reason chalked up to Miller’s exit, more specifically, the choice of actors to play Cable.
Reynolds was a producer on the original film, alongside Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner, but it is reported that he has been exercising more control over the direction of the sequel since the success of the first film.
Fox says the parting of ways is amicable and is already jumping hand-in-hand with Miller into another project, Influx, the adaptation of a science fiction novel by Daniel Suarez.
Deadpool 2 is set to start production next year, but with no director attached, and actors still being tested for Domino’s roll, should we be any at all concerned?
