Killer Mike and El-P are no strangers to the world of underground rap. Killer Mike, best known for his suave, hard-hitting delivery along members of Outkast and the Dungeon Family. El-P(roducto), for his unorthodox methods for producing music and the guy that was spitting ‘indy’ rap before it was cool. So when the legendary two formed the rap group named ‘Run The Jewels’, what you get is a titanic duo who bar for midas bar can outrap any pairing of their kind.

We believe the name of the group either speaks on imparting knowledge, or chain-snatching. Either way, we fully approve their message. The animated / mixed media video for a track that shares their name sake shows a unique LSD-inspired video that boasts neon radiation-green colours and comix-styled animation and graphics over live-action. The music video is directed and animated by RUFFMERCY, featuring some animation by Patch Keyes as well.

Not the type of video you would associate with rap, but, then again, Run The Jewels don’t seem to be cut from the same cloth. Check out the unique video in the player below:
