Leonardo DiCaprio’s film company wants to make a Captain Planet film

Revelling in the irony just how much of a carbon footprint a film like this would develop

Leonardo DiCaprio is many things. His being an ambassador for the environment and the issues of climate change, is well noted. Not to mention his humble yet callous attempt (in our humour filled minds anyways, right Guy) to get recognition for his acting chops.

Now, Di Caprio’s film production company, Appian Way Productions, has its heart (this’ll make sense later) making a film that is set to bring life to the ultimate environmentally friendly superhero. Sure as hell aint Snyder’s Superman (you’d thing all that sun bathing would make him appreciate earth more). Nope, Di Caprio wants to make a live-action film based on Captain Planet.

Captain Planet was an animation back in the awesome 90’s during the age where teenagers saved the world. With the use of magically-endowed rings they could summon earth’s greatest protecter Captain Planet, and with the guidance of Gaia, would stop the nefarious polluter-types messing up our eco-system.

Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Heart, Go Planet!

Our hope Don Cheadle leads. Or we’ll turn you into a fucking tree.

But to be fair, I would spend my life’s wages to see DiCaprio in a green mullet.
