Kevin Conroy for Batman in The Killing Joke adaptation?

News hit the fan that Mark Hamill got the role as the Joker yet again in a DC + WB Animation feature, this time for The Killing Joke, based on the prolific Alan Moore graphic novel. Now Kevin Conroy has shown interest in playing the voice of Batman. Unsurprisingly. Chances are if you have ever watched an animated Batman, the smooth, gravelly tones probably emanated from the pipes of Kevin Conroy. You saw him blatantly claim “I am Batman” in the Batman: Arkham Knight ad.

And what a voice cast that would be. A classic narrative with trusted voice actors.Nevertheless with the possibility of donning the role of the Bat, Conroy is pretty optimistic in his talk with Comicbook.com:

Oh, God! Are you kidding me? I’d do it in a heartbeat. I love working with him. I couldn’t believe when they killed off The Joker. I would love to do it, and I hope that that happens.

We honestly don’t see why this isn’t already a thing. Apparently there’s a petition floating around to get Conroy on board. Let’s see how that turns out.
